Hate Crimes Training for the Russian Community -- Hate crimes legislation and its impact on the Russian community was the subject of yet another forum, in January 2005, organized by We Are All Brooklyn through the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC) in cooperation with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office and the New York Police Department (NYPD). Some 70 Russian immigrants living in Brighton Beach learned how to report a hate crime and how to enlist the help of local authorities if such a crime comes to pass.
