“Updating Dr. King's Dream: Immigrants' Roles 40 Years After the March on D.C.”, Annual Conference, 2004 -- In 2004, we organized the second annual conference on Dr. Martin Luther King's dream in an event jointly hosted by the Brooklyn Borough President's Office. The goal of the event was to update and examine the impact of Dr. King's dream and the civil rights movement and how immigrant groups in Brooklyn relate to and are rewriting this concept first articulated by Dr. King in the years that culminated in his moving 1968 "I have a dream" speech.
